No one knows what you have meant to him for the past decade,
You’re the sole reason why he’s alive and never decided to end his partnership with oxygen,
You’ve always been a fan of the rhythm of his heart and never wanted the music to stop,
You’re the one who picked up the pen and introduced him to poetry and music,
You’re the one who spent countless hours honing your writing skills and performing ability just so you can help him share his stories that he never knew how to express,
He’s beyond grateful for you,
You introduced him to Urban Lyrics, brought him closer to friends who also survive through their art,
You helped other artist realize his potential and the reason why he didn’t have issues collaborating with so many talented people,
You brought him to Miami Poetry Club and made him realize his pen is still capable of telling stories and having people appreciate his penmanship,
You revealed private matters about him that he would never have the courage to share,
You helped him look within and understand his faults,
You showed him how people have done him wrong in the past but also held him accountable, gave him detailed transcripts on times he was wrong and how he can mistreat people as well,
You watered him,
Gave him sunlight when all he wanted to do was stay in the dark,
It brings tears to his eyes but he no longer wants you around,
He created me to take over as the writer for this phase of his life,
He wants me to tell the story behind his health journey for the past year,
He wants me to go into detail about the GoFundMe for his illness,
He wants me to speak on the good and bad that comes with his experiences with love,
He wants me to speak on the seesaw of being an educator,
He wants me to introduce that he has a new project titled “Smiling is something of my past”,
I hope you understand now Kenny,
Kendrick no longer seems it fit to keep you in his 360 degrees,
He birthed me..KC Pen to take over from now on,
I’d appreciate if you’d pass me then pen and exit his life now.
He does love you and will never forget you but he has new memories to make with me.
